Do we have our priorities straight? (National Day of Prayer)
PRESS RELEASE:
The National Day of Prayer 2021
Do we have our priorities straight?
“When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood; wash and make yourself clean.” Isaiah 1:15
On the National Day of Prayer, we who call upon God need to hear the Lord speak through Isaiah.
America has established an unprecedented national policy resulting in the unrestrained killing of innocent human beings through legal abortion. This is a deadly curse upon America. This national policy makes abortion legal throughout all nine months of pregnancy and can be carried out on demand for any reason or no reason.
We cannot sweep 64 million aborted babies under the rug with God who sees a sparrow fall. On the National Day of Prayer, although many issues press on us, one priority should be clear and paramount. God hates hands that shed innocent blood. He destroys nations for that.
We must change our national policy to make abortion illegal. America has survived the injustice of slavery and rectified it with the 13th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. We must do likewise with a Constitutional Life Amendment to make abortion illegal. This is the surest and most lasting provision available to America. It allows America to obey God’s call, to wash and make itself clean.
