Please permit the Life Amendment Coalition to underscore our firm support for both federal legislation and various constructive Life groups and movements intent on ending abortion in the U.S. This would include the Life at Conception and Sanctity of Human Life Acts which have been proposed in Congress, as well as multiple Bible-based organizations working today to nullify all current laws that uphold abortion.

The primary purpose, therefore, of a Life Amendment campaign is to supplement rather than to compete. If Congress (or any state or local government) passes comprehensive legislation, we will rejoice. Should, however, the legislation fall prey to an adversarial court, a well-developed Life Amendment campaign would, in that instance, have enormous value. Thus we affirm the need for all of us (all pro-life / anti-abortion forces) to support multiple abortion-ending strategies simultaneously.
